The route is about 86 km long from start to finish, with an elevation gain of over 1,100 metres. It is a circular itinerary that departs and arrives at the same point. A high mountain road where your hard work and sweat are rewarded by the pristine beauty of the landscapes and the wealth of nature waiting to be admired.

The route starts from Mondovì, and more specifically from Corso Europa, and heads towards Villanova Mondovì. The first pedalling section does not require much physical effort because it consists of a semi-flat section, then a climb, after which the road flattens out again for a good ten kilometres.

Once you’ve reached Villanova Mondovì, continue towards Roccaforte Mondovì. After Roccaforte, at the roundabout continue towards Lurisia, a town known for its popular springs, its spas and its vocation for tourism, both in winter and in summer. Instead of heading towards the centre of Lurisia, continue on the uphill road. The first short but intense climb will lead you to Colle Morté, climbing over the top towards Chiusa Pesio. A short descent, followed by a slight slope, will take you to Pianfei, from which you will then return to Villanova Mondovì. Here, go round the roundabout again and keep right taking the first exit towards Gosi di Pianvignale.

After a few kilometres, at the second roundabout, take the third exit towards Niere - Roà Piana. Since this is an itinerary recommended for road cycling, remember that, although it favours quieter roads, as far as possible, you must always take care in the presence of traffic and, if possible, choose times that are likely to be quieter.

Drive a few kilometres along a long straight road until you reach the crossroads at the end: turn left, go past the Roà Piana cemetery and head back up the short climb that will take you to a small roundabout, located right on the top of the pass. Here, make a sharp right turn and continue towards Giacobba. A wonderful gentle climb will take you to the Giacobba restaurant where anyone can stop and taste the delicious dishes and excellent typical cuisine.

Continue slightly downhill on the main road and at the crossroads turn left towards San Giacomo di Roburent. You will find yourself climbing for about 5 kilometres until you reach the hamlet of Sant'Anna Collarea under the municipality of Montaldo, in the heart of Valle Corsaglia. Here, once you reach the roundabout, turn right and from the public weighing house you can admire a splendid panorama and cool off at the fountain.

You set off again in the direction of San Giacomo di Roburent, also a well-known tourist destination in both winter and summer; you will cross its town to continue in the direction of Serra, first, and Pamparato, immediately afterwards. The descent that follows will allow you to catch your breath and enjoy the wonders of nature and its silence.

Having reached Pamparato - a place that is said to owe its name to the tenacity of its citizens who, having been stormed for days and days, demoralized the enemy by wittily letting a hungry dog escape with a piece of bread in its mouth (hence Pane (bread) ... paratum (carried). At the roundabout you will come across before entering the centre, take the third exit, and head towards Monasterolo Casotto. The road is all downhill and mostly well exposed. Continue along it until you arrive, immediately after a bridge, in the Torre Mondovì area.

Here, keeping to the right, head first towards San Michele Mondovì and then towards Vicoforte Mondovì, where the Santuario di Vicoforte is located. The most important place of worship in the Monregalese area but also well known beyond the local borders, it features the largest elliptical dome in Europe.
Having passed the Santuario, at a small roundabout, turn right and take Via delle Cappelle. Here, a short but intense climb will take you to Mondovì. At the crossroads in Mondovì, continue left along a tree-lined avenue that will take you to the foot of Mondovì Piazza and from here you can return to your starting point.
