CHAPEL OF THE MARQUISATE - REVELLO

Located on the first floor of the ancient Palazzo Marchionale (now the Town Hall), the chapel preserves one of the most interesting pictorial cycles of early sixteenth century Piedmontese painting linked to the family history of the Marquises of Saluzzo. Precisely at the behest of Margherita di Foix, wife of Marquis Ludovico II, the Revello chapel was entirely decorated between 1516 and 1519 by a painter close to Hans Clemer. The wall opposite the apse is frescoed with a large painting of the last supper, the author of which seems to have been inspired by the famous work of Leonardo da Vinci.
