The small town of Sanfront is located in the heart of the Po Valley. The fifteenth-century Parrocchiale di San Martino preserves the Gothic style still evident in the central nave and in the pentagonal apse. The latter is decorated on the outside by a fresco of the Virgin with child dating back to the fifteenth century and adorned with terracotta arches. Inside, a sixteenth-century font in white stone is of great interest.

Another treasure of Sanfront, in the central Piazza Statuto, is the Chiesa della Confraternita del Gonfalone, with its beautiful baroque-style bell tower. Low medieval arcades accompany visitors as they discover the Borgo Vecchio and the tree-lined avenue, known as the “Lea”, along the Albetta river.

The Borgata – Museo Balma Boves, a characteristic settlement built under an enormous rocky ledge at an altitude of 652 metres is easily reachable in half an hour on foot from the Rocchetta hamlet. The tiny village, permanently inhabited until the 1950s and today transformed into an ecomuseum, is a unique example of mountain architecture. It has preserved its original stone houses with flat roofs, cattle shed, storage room for agricultural tools, barns and dryers, wash house and even the oven for baking bread.

From June to October visitors can appreciate the unique atmosphere of Balma Boves thanks to guided tours and educational activities. To crown any visit, an excursion to the nearby rock art site of “Rocca la Casna” is a must. It is located about an hour's walk along the hiking trail. Here, it is possible to admire cupels and anthropomorphic figures engraved in the rock, bearing witness to the ancient bond between man and the mountain.

The Mombracco stands tall here, inviting hikers to reach its summit and enjoy a wonderful view of the plain and the western Alps. Climbing enthusiasts, on the other hand, will find the opportunity to try their hand at different levels of difficulty, from 4a to 7c+,in the Falesia delle Ninfe and in the numerous other sun-kissed routes. There is also a bouldering area with 11 blocks and over 90 passages.
