Small visitor centre housed in the former barracks of Pian del Re, where many explanatory panels introduce you to and provide insights into various aspects concerning the flora and fauna that populate the slopes of Monviso.
Open to the public in July, August and weekends in September.

A visit - before or after a nice hike - will allow the visitor to fully appreciate the nature that characterises the upper Valle Po, discovering many of its secrets.
A short distance away, in 2019, the Municipality of Crissolo and the Monviso Park renovated what were once the kitchens of the barracks, making them into a place where tourists can find shelter and information. Inside, a number of panels tell the story of the territory, in that complex but successful relationship between man and nature that led to the recognition of Monviso as a cross-border Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The area is freely accessible.
