THERMAL SPA OF VALDIERI
The spa is situated in the province of Cuneo, in the middle of the “Alpi Marittime'' natural reserve. It is 1.368m above the sea level and it is surrounded by a ring of granite mountains, whose peaks are higher than 3.000m. Valdieri thermal water belongs to the group of the sulphureous sulphate chloride-sodium hypothermal waters and has a distinctly alkaline pH (9.4). Furthermore it develops algae in certain places which are used for rheumatism and skin diseases. Another feature of the baths of Valdieri are the natural caves in which the sulfurous water heats the room with steam and gas, which dissolve in the water.
