COUTS GIRIODI PALACE - COSTIGLIOLE SALUZZO
A Baroque style palace, built around 1740 based on a design by Bernardo Antonio Vittone, it has been the seat of the Municipality since 1922. The entrance portal, the large atrium with a vaulted ceiling divided by bands and the staircase are all noteworthy features. The rooms on the first floor were elegantly frescoed in 1804 by L. Vacca, set designer and painter at the court of King Carlo Felice. The tour of the Palace is combined with that of the Cappella Sotterranea della Parrocchiale, which features frescoes by Hans Clemer (the “master of Elva”).
