MUSEUM OF "CAVIÉ" - ELVA

The beautiful ‘House of the Sundial’, an illustrious example of Alpine architecture, so called for the sundial painted on the façade to the south, is now home to the Museo di “Pels”. The museum reconstructs the various phases of hair processing for wig-making and collects testimonies, photographs, images and commercial documents related to the trade.

In August 2026, the museum is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Guided tours are offered on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
