MALLÉ MUSEUM - DRONERO

The Museo Civico of Dronero, opened in 1995, was created by the behest of art historian Luigi Mallé, who, upon his death in 1979, donated his “family home” to the municipality of Dronero, with all its contents, so that a museum could be set up in his name. Since 2016, the museum has been managed, through an agreement with the Municipality of Dronero, by the Espaci Occitan Association, which allows it to remain open all year round. The building, founded in the seventeenth century, houses the Biblioteca Civica, or City Library, on the ground floor, and the collections on the first and second floors. The spaces on the first floor, which house the permanent collection, are divided by historical periods.
