From the white slopes of Crissolo, reachable thanks to the comfortable chairlift that departs from the town centre (the “Monviso”) you feel as if you’re in seventh heaven: the view is truly spectacular and you’re sure to feel as if you never want to go back down.

Crissolo is one of the highest ski resorts in the Cuneo Alps. Its 18 km of slopes are suitable for both beginners and families, as well as expert skiers and freeride enthusiasts. At Pian della Regina, a slope equipped with a comfortable moving walkway for learning to ski on is available for children, and is also excellent for a fun bobsled ride downhill.

There are two refreshment points on the slopes: the Rifugio Aquila Nera, upstream from the chairlift, and the Ghincia Pastour, at an altitude of 2,400 metres, at the highest and most panoramic point of the station. In Pian della Regina, at the Pian della Regina Refuge, the ski mountaineering itineraries start in the truly unique environments around the Monviso. 

From here, you can also choose whether to go on a snowshoe hike or put on cross-country skis and enjoy the sunny slopes. At the end of the day, treat yourself to a delicious plate of polenta paired with the local mountain cheeses. And to wash it down, have a taste of the traditional mountain liqueur known as Genepy.
