CHURCH OF SAN DALMAZZO - BORGO SAN DALMAZZO
The large 11th century Benedictine abbey with Roman elements is linked to the cult of the martyr San Dalmazzo, which began in the 3rd century. It was an important reference point for pilgrims traveling between northern Italy and Provence. Interestingly, it is the result of several interventions, built on top of one other, starting from the early Christian church. The fourteenth-century chapel commissioned by Giovanna I d'Angiò is also worth a visit.
Open every day from 8.00 AM to 7.00 PM. Groups of people and of students require advance reservation.
