CHURCH OF COLLEGIATA DELLA BEATA VERGINE ASSUNTA - REVELLO
The style is late Gothic, with staid, elegant shapes, yet the façade features prominent Romanesque patterns. The entire structure is linear and solemn, including the impressive eight-storey bell tower, with unfinished windows and no cusp. The portal, made of Calcinere marble (from the Po Valley) in 1534 by Matteo Sanmicheli and the walnut wood door, divided into twenty ornate panels, are veritable works of art. Inside, the church houses: sixteenth-century polyptychs, including the polyptych of Saints Peter and Paul by Hans Clemer, composed of six panels decorated with a golden frame featuring geometric inlays, a valuable baptismal font, the main altar in white marble and the sixteenth-century wooden pulpit.
