MOMBASIGLIO CASTLE AND BONAPARTE MUSEUM

Built around the year 1000, the castle is located in the historic village of Mombasiglio, in a panoramic area. In 1796, the Napoleonic armies, commanded by General Seurener, were housed there and today, the first floor hosts the Museo Bonaparte, which boasts the largest collection of prints, and original etchings by Giuseppe Pietro Bagetti on Napoleon's First Italian Campaign. The castle tower houses the Museum of Marbles and Stones of the Territory, and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
