In Frabosa Soprana, visitors can spend memorable days skiing or snowboarding, or set off on a challenging ski mountaineering adventure, always under the watchful eye of the majestic Mounts Moro and Malanotte. With Prato Nevoso and Artesina, Frabosa is part of the Mondolè ski area, which has a total of 100 km of slopes and 30 state-of-the-art ski lifts.

And in summer too, Frabosa Soprana is a paradise for outdoor fun: excursions on foot or by mountain bike, horse riding, and fishing are just some of the activities available and visitors can even tackle a rock climb on the spectacular Falesia dei Quarzini.

This is also the easternmost area of the Occitan territory, as gathered by the presence of the ancient dialect “Kyé ”, now only spoken in a few limited areas of the Monregalese valleys. This link with tradition is clear from a number of peculiarities that still form a vital part of the area’s identity, such as the construction of the "enclosed" roof houses, clearly visible in some hamlets, or the production of the particular "Frabusan" knife, which has continued since the end of the 18th century. The local history is recounted in depth in the Museo Etnografico di Fontane, the area of the town where the scenic Big Bench is located, one of the giant benches by Chris Bangle.

And in Frabosa Soprana there is yet another world waiting to be discovered underground. The Grotta di Bossea, one of the most beautiful and important Italian grottoes, is open to tourists all year round, and guided tours are available. It is impressive and spectacular, with majestic environments, waterways, a high waterfall and even a skeleton of the now extinct Ursus spelaeus, the cave bear. In addition, the Ecomuseo del Marmo dedicated to the "Verzino di Frabosa", pays homage to a material also used for works of great artistic value, such as the Cappella della Sindone di Torino.

The area offers many excellent gastronomic delights, notably including Raschera, a PDO cheese made from cow's milk, the “da  alpeggio” type of which is produced in a number of towns, including Frabosa Soprana.
