THE EASTERN FORTS OF COLLE DI TENDA

Towards the end of the 1800s, possible invasions across the Alps were countered by six imposing hillside forts built around colle di Tenda in a splendid panoramic position on the border ridge, which in 1947 ironically became French territory. This panoramic loop takes hikers to the three forts located to the east of colle di Tenda.
