What is VeRo?

VeRo is a new tourist itinerary between France and Italy along the Cuneo-Ventimiglia-Nice railway line, launched in its centenary year (to be celebrated on October 30, 2028), thanks to the European project “Vermenagna-Roya III.” It includes 12 main stops spread across 10 municipalities, from Borgo San Dalmazzo to Breil-sur-Roya, featuring the extraordinary train journey through the Col di Tenda. These are sites of great historical significance, as well as new or completely renovated spaces—thanks, in part, to artistic interventions. Here, storytelling and physical interactions are intertwined with immersive experiences and virtual reality.
The VeRo stops will take you on a journey between the past and the future, where you can choose your stops, learn about and appreciate the characteristics and history of the railroad and the two valleys.
