The complete route you’ll tackle is 108 km long, with a difference in height of about 2,600 meters. It is a circular itinerary that starts and ends at the same point, crossing one of the most beautiful and evocative hills in the province of Cuneo and joining the Grana and Stura Valleys. A high mountain road where your hard work and sweat are rewarded by the pristine beauty of the landscapes and wealth of nature that you can admire.

The route starts from Cuneo, in Piazza Galimberti, and heads towards the Grana Valley, passing through Caraglio. The first pedalling section does not require much physical effort because it runs along a semi-flat section. The most important climb begins 20 km from the start: 22 km with average gradients ranging from 8% to 18% will take you to the top of the Fauniera hill.

At the top, the majestic landscape soon gives way to a long descent that leads you to Demonte, in the Stura Valley, a few kilometres from the second and last climb of the route: the one towards Madonna del Colletto (1,304 m).

From Demonte, a road with alternating flat and downhill sections leads to Festiona, from where the last climb towards the sanctuary of Madonna del Colletto begins. Once you reach the top, a descent spanning a couple of kilometres leads you to the centre of the town of Valdieri. From Valdieri, continue on the mainly flat road towards Borgo San Dalmazzo and from here cover the last few kilometres to return to Cuneo and finish the tour.
