The route is about 55 km long from start to finish, with an elevation gain of over 1,080 metres. It is a circular itinerary that starts and ends at the same point, crossing some of the most striking areas and places of the province of Cuneo.

The route starts from Ceva - from the square in front of the train station, where you can easily park your car - and heads towards Castellino Tanaro.
From the square, turn right and take the SP 135 road that will lead you out of the centre of Ceva: the first section is all flat and with no particular difficulties, but look out for the traffic. After about 3 kilometres, at the crossroads, turn left and start climbing towards Castellino Tanaro. A long uphill stretch of about 4 kilometres with a constant gradient will take you to Serra, a small hamlet of Castellino Tanaro from which you should continue until you come across the Santuario di Madonna della Neve on your left.

The Santuario can be found in Madonna della Neve, in a very panoramic, quiet location. In the Chiesa della Madonna della Neve there is a Roman stele, found in the area and created to mark the tomb of two Valerii, belonging to the Publilia family. From the sanctuary, continue on the paved road, with its series of slight ups and downs until you reach the Chapel of Saints Sebastian and Rocco, under the town of Igliano.

The small church of San Sebastiano located near a modest intersection of old streets, on the middle Langa, is a country chapel of the type typically found in these hills. Modest in size and shape, with no decorations on the gabled façade, all in exposed stone, it is located in a splendid panoramic position. Recently restored, inside there are two frescoes in a fair condition, which are thought to date back to the sixteenth century.

From the church, a short descent will take you to Torresina: from the post office, in the small town, turn left and continue on the road downhill to the intersection at the end. At the intersection, turn left, cover a short stretch of provincial road 32 and take the first road on your right that will take you up towards the small town of Paroldo. Once beyond the centre, a new descent will take you to Sale San Giovanni. If you have any time left, a short tour of the small town is well worth the effort.

The castle of the Incisa di Camerana marquises dominates the centre of Sale S. Giovanni from the top of the hill on which it is perched. It is the most picturesque building in the old village. The small town of Sale San Giovanni has managed to reinvent itself and survive, thanks to its production of lavender and aromatic herbs, which have become a veritable excellence in the medicinal and herbal sector. A small village located in the Lower Langa in the province of Cuneo, it is known and renowned for its lavender bushes. From June to August these transform into many colourful bouquets of “bluette”, indigo, deep purple and pink.

From the parish church of Sale San Giovanni, continue on the provincial road to the roundabout in Torelli - follow it and take the first exit on the right. One last steady and smooth climb will take you up to Montezemolo. Once you’ve arrived, at the roundabout take the first exit on the right towards Priero. Pay attention because in this section the road you will tackle is quite busy with cars and motorbikes. Once in Priero, continue straight on through the roundabouts that you will encounter on your route, crossing the small hamlets of Mollere and San Bernardino. At this last roundabout, continue straight on towards Ceva - pass the hospital and a final descent will take you back to the starting point of your itinerary.
