CHAPEL OF SANTA CROCE – MONDOVÌ
A small structure located on the road to Vicoforte contains a magnificent treasure: the fifteenth-century frescoes attributed to Antonio di Monteregale. The pictorial cycle, executed from 1450 to 1460, in which the influences of Jacquerio are notable, covers the walls and the vault of the chapel and presents itself as an elevated iconography. One example is the Crucifixion, a complex allegory of the victory of the Church over Judaism, on the altar wall.
