The route is about 46 km long from start to finish, with an elevation gain of over 1,650 metres. It is an itinerary that we recommend you tackle with a front or full MTB or e-bike as the terrain it features is mostly unpaved and bumpy.

The route starts from Chiusa di Pesio, from the Pian Bosco campsite, and heads upwards as you take the asphalted uphill stretch that reaches Colle Morté. When you reach the hill, leave the paved road, turn right and take the dirt road which leads up to the Pilone dell’Olocco.
The magnificent dirt track with a fairly regular surface crosses centuries-old chestnut woods and reaches the Pilone dell’Olocco area after a couple of kilometres of constant ascent.

When you reach the small church, continue straight on along the partly paved road you see in front of you, towards Borgata Baudinet. A wide dirt road will take you to the hamlet, from where you can enjoy a splendid view of Monte Bisalta and the Cuneo plain.
From here, the path continues up the hillside, partly on a cart track and partly on a single track, up to the hamlet of Colletto, from which a full panorama of the Pesio Valley is visible.

Continue along the path, a road that reaches the Borgata S. Paolo and the famous monumental complex of the Certosa di Pesio. If you want, you can stop and visit it and discover the many interesting stories and a host of information on the history of the small town of Chiusa di Pesio. When you reach the Certosa, go down the paved road to San Bartolomeo and turn left towards the hamlet of Pilon. Continue uphill towards the hamlet of Truna, from which you will get to Meschie on a dirt track.

Here the descent begins: cover the first 100 metres on asphalt and then turn left and head downwards on a forest track without any great technical difficulties, as far as Tetti Gallina.
From Tetti Gallina, continue downhill on Via dei Morti, the path used in the past to reach the cemetery of Peveragno from the hamlet. Once in the Montefallonio area, return to Chiusa di Pesio along the path of the Castello di Mombrisone.
