The route is about 55 km long from start to finish, with an elevation gain of over 1,350 metres. It is a circular itinerary that starts and ends at the same point, crossing one of the most beautiful and evocative hills in the province of Cuneo and joining the Corsaglia and Maudagna Valleys. A high mountain road where your hard work and sweat are rewarded by the pristine beauty of the landscapes and wealth of nature that you can admire.

The route starts from Villanova Mondovì and heads towards Monastero Vasco. The first pedalling section does not require much physical effort because it runs along a semi-flat section.

At the crossroads, near the cemetery of Monastero Vasco, turn left and continue on the short climb towards Vasco. Here, at the small roundabout at the end of the climb, turn right and start the climb towards Nuova Giacobba. A road with regular and constant gradients, partly immersed in the woods, will lead you to Giacobba (Oberti area). From here, after a final climb of about 500 metres, a long descent begins, taking you down to Val Corsaglia. Pay attention, especially near the bends in the road.

Once in Corsagliola, continue towards Corsaglia until you reach Bossea, renowned for its caves. The Bossea Cave is the last sector of a large karst system that develops in the Maudagna-Corsaglia watershed, between the Conca di Prato Nevoso and the Corsaglia river, in the municipality of Frabosa Soprana  at an altitude of 836 m. One of the most beautiful and important Italian caves open to tourists for the variety of its concretions, it stands out for the grandeur of its environments, its abundant water resources and underground lakes. Some very striking aspects characterise the touristic part of the cave, creating stunning effects of great aesthetic and environmental appeal. The enormous dimensions, the dizzying heights, the overhanging walls, the vast ceilings carved with sharp edges, the cliffs, the ravines, the cyclopean boulders which have fallen from above, are the prevailing aspects.

From Bossea, continue towards Fontane where about 12 km of uphill road await you on the way to Colle del Prel.
Colle del Prel, with its 1,607 meters of altitude, is the Coppi peak of the long route of the Giro delle Valli Monregalesi. The main ascent of the Monregalesi Valleys leads to the centre of Prato Nevoso, and the hamlet of Frabosa Sottana, famous for its ski resorts.

From Prato Nevoso, go back down the Maudagna Valley; first you will cross the inhabited area of Miroglio, Frabosa Sottana and the Gosi. At the roundabout, ride straight ahead for about a kilometre and you will return to the starting point.
