CHILD-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES IN CUNEO

Child-friendly Cuneo, for a family holiday of culture and nature. Let's discover the workshops that the Civic Museum and the Diocesan Museum, both located in the historic centre, organise throughout the year, and immerse ourselves in the Gesso Stura River Park to learn the secrets of nature while having fun.

The Civic Museum of the city of Cuneo, in Piazza Virginio, in the evocative setting of the monumental complex of San Francesco, offers many activities for children throughout the year. The Carnival and Christmas workshops are very popular. At the Diocesan Museum in Contrada Mondovì you will find an entire area dedicated to children. The 'Kids at the Museum' Kids’ Kit, with crayons, an activity booklet, a puzzle and a small 3D object to assemble, is available at the ticket office. You can buy it for you and your children to play with during your visit or as a souvenir to take home with you.

Also in the oldest part of the city, in the children’s areas the Civic Library, children from 0 to 18 can participate in reading workshop activities organised by age group. Already winner of the prestigious Andersen Prize for promoting reading, the library is a colourful and welcoming place that invites children and young people to embark on a reading journey that will never end.

If your idea of a child-friendly holiday favours wide open spaces, the Gesso Stura River Park is just the place for you. The River House is the beating heart of the park. In its indoor and outdoor spaces, you can participate in many events, exhibitions and educational activities with a focus on environmental education. Engaging children with regard to current topics, not to mention traditional activities designed for the Christmas and Carnival periods, make the centre a pleasant and welcoming place for the whole family.

You can also reach the equipped area in Via delle Isole and the birdwatching houses, near the hamlet of Madonna delle Grazie, on foot or by renting a bicycle at the Casa del Fiume. Along the cycle path near the East-West Bridge, you will encounter the butterfly area, a 300-metre-long path with eleven stops, where information signs illustrate the biological cycle of some of the 52 species of butterflies that live in the park.
