On the ground floor, you'll find the local tourist office. This level is dedicated to discovering the territory of Vernante. A welcoming tourist office offers information and printed materials. The exhibition includes a section called "Seeds of Curiosity," designed to spark deeper interest in the local historical, cultural, musical, and artisanal heritage. Photographs and short texts are enriched with NFC-enabled devices for further exploration via mobile phone. The section also includes a shop for books and souvenirs and a 3D viewer station where visitors can “step into” the world of Pinocchio.
The other half of the ground floor introduces the territory of the Alpi Marittime Protected Areas and the two Natural Parks within it. Visitors can ascend through a thunderous "virtual waterfall" and a mural-covered staircase depicting park landscapes and wildlife, reaching the first floor. Here, visitors of all ages can explore the flora, fauna, rocks, and underground geology of the Alpi Marittime and Marguareis Parks. In addition to panels with text, photos, and images, the exhibit includes interactive stations to engage with: Who lives underground? How old are the displayed trees? What are the mountains made of? How soft is the fur of a fox or a wolf and what do they sound like? What does a chamois footprint look like? How do you draw a bearded vulture or a marmot?
A majestic presence dominates the entire space: a large adult bearded vulture with outspread wings captures the attention of visitors. Thanks to an immersive experience, guests can feel the thrill of flying from the Marguareis to the Argentera.
The center is completed by an exhibition hall.
