MUSEUM OF STORIES - RITTANA
At the centre of the scattered museum located among the houses of the Paraloup hamlet, there is an interactive multimedia installation - Le stagioni di Paraloup (The seasons of Paraloup), managed by Milanese studio NEO Narrative Environments Operas and curated by Andrea Fenoglio. It is configured as a journey through the four ages that have characterised the history of Paraloup: the end of the nineteenth century, with the alpine migrations, the period of the Italian Resistance, the era of depopulation of the Alps and the return to mountain life today. The protagonists of the permanent exhibition are, then, the voices of those who experienced those periods, often interviewed by Nuto Revelli (writer from Cuneo who was a member of the Alpini corps, partisan and researcher of peasant memory).
The Museum is free to enter when the Borgata is open. Upon reservation, it is possible to take a guided tour of the Museum and the Borgata, with a donation that will go to support the Nuto Revelli Foundation.
