CHURCH OF SAN GIUSEPPE DEI CARMELITANI SCALZI KNOWN AS CHIESA DELLA MISERICORDIA – MONDOVÌ (PIAZZA DISTRICT)
Between 1708 and 1717 the architect Francesco Gallo built his first church in his hometown. The Chiesa della Misericordia features an extremely sedate Greek cross structure, and its polychrome dome “elevates” the pilgrim, thanks to the clever play of perspectives used by Giovanni Francesco Gagini to paint it.
