The ancient Roman city of Augusta Bagiennorum hosts several religious buildings of great artistic value. The most significant of these is the Chiesa di San Francesco, which preserves the mortal remains of Santa Paola in the private chapel of the Costa family, whose altar was designed by Filippo Juvarra in 1725. Another jewel of the church is the sixteenth-century wooden choir, considered one of the most interesting and ancient of its kind in the province of Cuneo.
Open during the day and can be visited independently. Sometimes closed on holidays.
