Take the track that leads into Vallon de l'Oronaye. Roughly follow the summer path and continue halfway up the southern slopes of Bec du Lièvre, passing by a small wooden cross and near a hut. The jagged peaks of the Oronaye massif appear from the bottom of the valley and then the silhouette of the enormous, rocky mass of the majestic mountain of the same name (Tête de Moïse in French).
Pass by a shoulder and go down a few metres into a basin. On reaching a crossroads (pole), turn right and then almost immediately veer to the right again on to the ridge running along the slopes of Crête des Blaves.
The valley now turns sharply towards the south-east. Climb for a good stretch to reach Lac de Oronaye (2,411 m), usually covered in snow, at the feet of Monte della Signora. The view looking back towards the slender Bec du Lièvre and Meyna is unmissable.
Keep the lake basin on the right and continue with a diagonal traverse to the left. Further on, pass by the deviation to the left towards Feuillas Hill.
A flat stretch now leads to Roburent Hill (2,496 m) on the Italian-French border. The eye is caught by the upper Lake Roburent (2,428 m) seventy meters lower down, with its characteristic horseshoe shape and promontory wedged inside. The end is surrounded by imposing and hugely scenic rocky spires: by no coincidence it is considered one of the finest lakes in the Cuneo Alps.
